Cool and overcast with a stiffish breeze. AT 2-5ºC. River clear and still quite pacey.

2 Roach, 2 Dace; all small.

Failed experiment to try and catch a late winter (BIG) dace. They are at their heaviest this time of year so it was off to a venue that has twice thrown up really good dace (see here & here) in recent autumn visits. Fished the length of the stretch with most spots hardly producing a bite - ho hum, at least The Royals gained a welcome 3 points in the afternoon!
