A nice chub that Chris well done. I thought for a moment that they'd returned but you were quite a bit further downstream. Nice to see chub coming out of the lower bits.

 

I have a short session planned for this evening so we'll see if they have come back.

5lber was from the same swim you had a brace from on the 9th - different fish from your 5 too by the looks of it which is good - suggests there's a few gooduns there - might be a swim which benefits from an hour's prebaiting before fishing... Do you have chesties? - once you get through the deepish mud there's shallower hard bottom which gives a great trotting line above the tree...

Yes it took a while before bites came for me. I'd forgotten my wading stick so wasn't brave enough to venture out into the mud...but I will next time, thanks for the tip. The breeze was helping me so I could trot the right line from nearer the bank, had it been in my face it would've been a different story.

Where you enter head round to the right - gets deeper at first then ever so quickly shallower!
