Bucklebury Ponds

0930 - 1230

Weather; 'Oribble, wet, windy and cold - this is meant to be JUNE. So far this month we've had nearly SIX inches of rain - 3 times the average for June and there's still over a week to go... :(

4 Bream all circa 2lb+, 1 Tench 1lb 15oz, 1 Carp 4lb 4oz, 1 roach and 7 perch.

For a venue that is the nearest to my house (even nearer than the Kennet), I really don't visit here that often. When I do its usually to try and catch a crucian, any crucian - as nothing grows that big in these 2 wooded ponds. Still the fishing is undemanding - and sat under my brolly out of the wind - my quill float, fished under my rod tip indicated bites with gratifying regularity - still not caught a crucian but hey its still only June! (Even if it feels like October!)
