Adrian's Pike

My oldest son, Adrian is in my eyes the best fishing buddy a guy can have. Already at the age of 1 1/2 his intrest for fishing started, and ever since, he's been with me on just about every fishingtrip. The early summer of 2006 he pulled this 5kg pike up from the lake by our house. We where out trolling for pike and rainbow trout when he suddenly expressed in a very calm manner.

Dad, I have a giant pike on my line. You may have to help me pull this one up.

about ten minutes later I had to help him pull his big pike out of the water. This fish became several dinners of chines fishballs with rice, and soya sauce.

Adrian's new goal is to catch a bigger pike. at least 12 kg, he says. Quite possible since there has been caugt several this size in this lake before. several fish about 10 kg are pulled up every year, and there is a roumor of a 22 kg pike caught about fifty years ago.
