Does anyone know if spiderwire is any good for lure fishing?,am i right in saying its neither braid or mono but something in between?,i seen a 300 yard spool of 15Ib for 19 quid,is it worth the money?

Hi paul,my fishing partner trots exclusively with nymphs,a leader and a dropper flyfishin style.I am lazy and trot maggots and corn under an avon on a size 16.He does well with redtags and chadwells on as big as a 12.He normally outfishes me 2 to 1 though he does seem to pick up more brownies than my grayling?..
