RRP 179.99 each Ebay sellers £145 each Quick sale £135 a piece. + P&P cost (or pick up from southend-on-sea area) I also have 2 x TFG Signature series medium carryalls if anyone interested Many thanks Matt
  2. Spend the money you save from buying better rods etc on decent terminal tackle!!! Mainline, rigs and bait is THE most important factors.
  3. Floater fishing is definatly the first thing to get them started on. Get them catching ANYTHING!!! When i have spoken to people about fishing, and they reply that its soooo boring. I ask them the same questions; 1) Have you ever fished? if so... 2) Did you catch anything? You can pretty much guarantee that they didn't. And lets face it, if your not a nature junkie, you are going to be bored! I would most deff get them on the little roach, bream, perch first, and have a carp setup in the water. If they catch the small fish they will enjoy it. And if you get lucky on the carp front and land one, they will want to move onto bigger things (fish). If i was you, i would wait until the weather warms up a little. If they are sitting in the cold / wet, they will start to moan and loose concentration. What ever you do...Good luck Matt
  4. Hi All... Just registered today after coming across the forum from google. I'm looking to buy a new bivvy next year, as the old Shakespear Cypry is getting a bit tired. Cash is not an issue as i i'm still living at home and saving is a breeze! I'll get straight to my requirements 1) MUST be quick erect. Threading poles is just too teadeous these days, and setting up in the dark, it is a pain in the a$$. 2) No umbrella type bivvies please. 3) 2 Man. I may be tempted to get a 1 man if its all singing and dancing! But, I prefer the company in a 2 man if im out with someone and the extra bivvie space if im on my own. 4) Must be able to use all year round. So possible winter overwraps etc. 5) Ground sheet is a must. I'm banging my head against a wall whether i want it sown in or not. I've never used a bivvie without a sown in groundsheet. Is it breezy if it is separate??? Is it more convienent??? I know its a bit of a list, but if i could be parting with £400+ i want something that is just right for me. I've been looking at the Nash Double top (2 man), good points; Double skin as standard, sown in ground sheet, £250 isn't too overly priced. Also the Trakker range (Armo MkII (2 man) & Trident (1 man - but 3 bivvies in one)); Heavly priced, extras like winter wraps, better quality???. All thoughts and suggestions welcome Matt
