  1. Unfortunately can't afford a full drysuit just yet, have gone instead for breathable waders with a good waist belt (on speical offer from Snowbee), and a fairly good cag with twin waist seals. I'm new to kayak fishing, so I thought the breathable waders might come in handy for river/loch fishing too, and to be extra cosy when kayaking I got a full body fleece layer to go with the waders. Altogether, the waders and fleecy thing were about the same price as dry trousers would have cost be, but more comfortable being bib and brace style, have boot socks built in therefore warmer around the feet and more versatile for other uses. THough I could be proved wrong ultimately... never say never and all that...
  2. I've been having a look at suitable kayak clothing, because hopefully before too long our kayaks will be arriving and we'd like to be warm and dry when we hit the water, especially as we live in a colder area that's prone to changeable conditions. So I've seen for sale, dry cags, semi-dry cags, and I wondered why would someone buy a semi-dry when they could get a dry? Does the semi-dry have other advantages?
  3. Ahh thanks for bearing with me...
  4. Hi Troller, For some reason I can't view that thread, when I click on the link I go to a page which asks me to enter my password but when I do, it's not recognised what's the gist?
  5. Hi Basilsdad, that sounds very interesting indeed! Don't know if I can get PMs yet as this is my second post, could you tell me what colour it is and how much you are asking for it? Is it the angling version? How did you get on with it? Is it advertised elsewhere? Thanks everyone for the welcome!
  6. Hello, New to the forum and from reading other posts here, you sound like a friendly bunch so I thought I'd introduce myself! Me and OH are about to take the plunge (hopefully not too literally ) and get a couple of Prowler 13s (after lots of research) and some breathable waders (Snowbee have a special at the mo) with a sturdy adjustable waistband. I was worried about water leaking in when/if we ended up in the sea but from reading up on the threads here it's not a huge worry in the summer, and so I was thinking about getting this and probably a cag too. We are based right up on the north coast of Scotland and have done a fair bit of shore fishing, including fly fishing for bass in Tongue estuary - which was amazing!!) but even up here the coast is getting too crowded and we decided kayaks would be the best bet for exploring, fishing secret places and generally messing about on the water. So hello from us! I'll probably be picking your collective brains later on in the season!
