  1. Hi sutton warrior, what you are saying regarding cod being taken on the boats it teeming with cod here from off the boats what was said was from the shore many small codling are now showing which usually means a good small codling class the following winter, I was out with a trip 10days ago (not being since with the weather going today) and and we had a fantastic days cod fishing on shads with cod going into double figures working wrecks well inshore only 4 miles off to exact but it is good what you are saying to hear you are haveing a good spring run.
  2. Yes its yellow tail time now they must have done the trick for you at boggle hole.
  3. Stop bragging i know yours werent tids i had 1 size it wasnt exactly massive a pound and half but those worms you dug with me on wednesday certainly did the trick for you what were the rest of them doing who were fishing with you at boggle hole it yellow tail time now.
  4. Yes glen had a good look through but from the very begining of the mention of licences on this forum i said just what are you getting for your money and that is 0 except a restriction to fish freely in the sea and in real terms what defra will give you wont make a bit of differnce this talk of improveing things for anglers slipways artifical reefs etc its a joke we have many many miles of fantastic reefs here and have looked after them over the years you can make your own mind up on that one i have seen at first hand how goverment bodies work we had a tiolet next to our pontoon which in summer was use by as many as hundred anglers before 7 am what did they do after it made the front page of the local paper twice as they were told it desperately needed they closed it and left people to pee in the streets for thoses of you who think angling licecnes would be good thing keep dreaming defra are now after your money for there ends and not yours.
  5. Just been reading through the fishing news and as the topic says the headline is sea anglers refuse to bite what it actually says is in its little dig is that the national federation of sea anglers are now litterally back healing the rod licecences scernario as they have just suddenly realized anglers arent to blame for fish over explotation from our seas my lord a brain wave. The national fedaration is now saying they strongly against licences because you will be getting nothing for it( DONT TELL ANYBODY BUT THEY HAVE JUST FOUND OUT) and why should anglers pay a fee to fish in the sea when each succesive goverment has let the seas to over fished by the commercial sector for years.
  6. Well 2006 wasnt a bad year for small codling and once 2007 looks again as to many undersized small codling showing up ,i fished our club match on wednesday night at runswich bay and you were worried by them all night many just undersize but many upto 8-10 inches long the signes look good.
