I was thinking of getting a little box trailer and adapting it to carry kayaks. ive got a malibu 2 xl which is really cumbersome to get on / off the roof rack. The box would be useful for gear and i could leave the yak on the trailer always ready to go. The downside it would be quite long so towing & parking the trailer up somewhere while out on the water could be a problem. Does anybody use or considered using a trailer? what are your thoughts?

Whats the best thing to wear? i was thinking that a floatation suit is probally the safest. But i remember when i had one years ago, i wore it beachcasting and just walking up and down the beach i was hot, so with the kaying its going to be roasting (methinks). It was a one piece suit if that makes any differance. What do you guys wear? Thanks Nick

Codshead all sounds good to me. I’ve got to set up the yak for fishing, get a short rod etc, but let me know when/where youre going if im sorted id like to tag along. The bass at canvey sound good, I’ve never thought of fishing at canvey.

Hi i have a malibu xl that i plan to kit out for fishing, but first id like to know where to fish? my nearest places are the blackwater and river crouch, has anybody tried these, or can you suggest somewhere further along the coast. Thanks Nick
