  4. WEST HOUSE TROUT LAKES MILL LANE BISHOPTON TS21 1LL Tel: 07836 330157 www.westhouse-troutlakes.co.uk WEST HOUSE FISHING REPORT 06/10/14 Dry very still warm conditions are still not making the fishing easy. Plenty of fish rising but in the still conditions it is hard to get nice presentation. If you can get it right there has been some good sport on Hoppers and Daddy longlegs. Try fishing a buzzer on the dropper to sink the leader for better presentation. Any rain or colder conditions will improve the fishing dramatically Free tea and coffee is now available from the lodge at West house for anglers The heaviest fish of the week was a nice 16lb rainbow caught ob Dennis Woods of Teesside, the fish fell to a Hopper twitched below the surface. This was the best fish of 11 caught by Dennis most fish weighing between 3 and 4 lb. A 9lb Rainbow was caught by Paul Simpson of Durham who caught the fish on a sunken Hopper retrieved slowly. 8. WEST HOUSE FISHING REPORT 26/4/14 Really good fishing this week. The milder weather is helping and we are getting lots more anglers. Plenty of dry fly action when the sun shines and the temperature rises. Small black beetles or f flies fished on the edge of the ripple are proving very effective. Most fish are high in the water. 15. WEST HOUSE FISHING REPORT 18/8/13 This hot weather has been causing lots of problems for Fisheries with fish deaths and poor fishing conditions. During the heat wave our water temperature rose to 23 celcius. We have therefore installed a revolutionary new Aeration system. This comprises 10 aeration units spread throughout the lakes which force oxygen from the bottom the lakes causing a torrent of highly oxygenated water. The results have been startling, the catch rate has gone up and we have no fish struggling at all. These aerators will run all year and should transform the fishing in both Summer and Winter Season ticket angler Shaun Burnside has had some cracking sessions catching up to 12 fish at a time his best fly being a Black Shipman. William Jones of Hartlepool caught 8 fish the best 8lb all falling to a variety of Dry flies. David Leak caught a nice carp estimated between 15 and 20lb, it took 25 minutes to land the fish on 6lb Fluoro. Best flies this week : Diawl Bach, Buzzers, Damsel or black nymphs Dry flies, asstd, Shipmans
