  1. Hey Guys,

See alot of anglers have tv's these days and think im going to get one meself. Could someone tell me or give me some ideas on a decent tv.. not to small like 3.5" e.t.c 5+, im after having one with a power pack. Can be either color or black and white.

    Cheers

  2. Jesus, wouldnt of thought it would have been that many. Annoyes me that we have to pay for a licence to enjoy our hobbie so why shouldnt other people have to pay. I have been to loads of lakes in the past years and i think only 7 times i have only been asked if they could see my licence. Fishing i have a cracking time everytime i go weather i catch or not so i have to give somthing back to it.

  3. Hey Guys, Me Again :headhurt:

Could someone tell me there personal choice of the best carp rigs at the moment. Im intersted in using a few this weekend rather the basic simple feeder rigs e.t.c and was wondering what you think is the best at the moment and which you prefer??

    Cheers,

  4. There here :clap2:

Just had a little play with them.. set them all up and put line on them and very impressed, feel like a pro  They will go to work this Friday - Sunday and hopefully will catch on both. Really happy :clap2:

  5. Indeed ive always wanted one but i think there silly prices tbh. If you do make one then start making several for less money then some of the stupid prices some people want for them. I'll have one hehehe. Post up pictures of it e.t.c and keep us informed, looking forward to seeing the progress :)

  6. Well for the kit i have heard some really good stories of it and brilliant feedback. Ordered mine from the shop, next day delivery. Ordered it last night so should get it tommorow, if not gunna be p'ssed off as i ordered next day delivery so it is here for Friday when i go fishing for the weekend ( Fri - Sun )

Yours arrived yet and deos it come in seperate boxes or one big box??

  7. 20-25K for 2.3 acres , lol never pal. Im a landscaper and use mini diggers alot aswell as maintain a JCB ( make sure its running correctly due to not be old enough to use it due to my age as of yet. so i dig holls alot e.t.c 2.3 acres is very small... your looking at 7 grand , depends on how deep you want it but wouldnt go over the 10k mark. The only pain in the arse about doing a lake as i have dug out a few and thats the cost of putting fish in there and planning permissions. For some it may be a pain in the arse getting rid of the dirt e.t.c but for me it isnt.

  8. Watch TV, Lissen To The Radio, Watch DVD's, Read, Sleep, Lye There And Just Relax, Theres More Things To Do Then You Think. Carp Fishing Is The Way Forward. I Myself Come From Course Fishing Scene And Remember The Day When I Got Hooked On Carp Fishing, Never Have Regretted it

  9. Make sure you have full faith in your rigs. By that I don`t mean that they`re the latest `in` rig but that they`re capable of doing the job. PVA bags go a long way to easing the mind that the rig isn`t tangled but again, most anglers will probably be fishing with pva so why no be different and try a scattering of baits in the swim to keep any feeding fish on the move so increasing the chances of them making a mistake? A fish feeding in a tight area of bait won`t have to move far so no matter how good the rig its not going to be working at 100%. To minimise tangles just put a few mixers in a pva mesh bag, this gives you the best of both worlds.

Funny you should mention that as it deosnt matter what ever rig i use , at one point they tangle. My rods are in the lake for a good 9 hours and havn't had a bite so my mind starts going is it tangled?? i leave it another couple of hours and yet still no movment so i have to reel it in to keep my mind at rest. When reeling it in, good job i did because indeed it is tangled. I have never used PVA bags and only started to recently read about them and pay attention to them and i think im going to give them a go this weekend and it will help keeping my mind at rest about my rig not being tangled so i won't have any problems leaving it in the lake longer then i want to.

  10. Brilliant :)

Why we are at it and instead of making another post. Im after a new decent bed and a fishing chair, around the 30-50 pound mark.

    Chair wise i see this:

And might sound silly but i found a decent prise bed on argos beilive it or not. Some of you may laugh but im not willing to spend a fortune on a bed because anything is better then the one i got. Aslong as its gunna keep me off the floor and give me some comfort without spending loads then it will do me fine:

  11. Orite guys,

I like a few people on these forums are looking for new kit without spending thousands. I see someone else posted about these rods, i gave them a look and for what you get, and everything else and it seems a nice professional set up.

Can someone tell me the ups, the downs, whats good/ whats bad about these rods/reels. Im going to be buying a new setup , most proberly one these ones on Wednesday so if someone can give some feedback a.s.a.p you'll be a star <_<

    Matty

  12. I would personal go for the top one. Seems good for the money pal, anybody know what these rods are like?? i have had a little play with them but nothing major.

  13. Crusty loaf bread which i cut up into the sizies of match box's and float it. Theres a fishing lake near me where everybody goes. It was silly for fish esp when it hot as they all come to the top, i had 30 carp out of there one day bielive it or not. The only problem with the lake is, no groundbait, no night fishing, and no float fishing - for me only when the balief is there :P ( not as in the actuall float lol, like bread floating e.t.c ) and only one rod at a time... plus you cannot fish day tickets, membership only and it deosnt come cheap there. About a year ago it go topped up and i found it ruined the fishing there and you had a job to catch, now they have settled in , words now say its back to normal again. Abit of bread or lunchen meat and whallar.. you have a double + on the end.

  14. How many blanks you had? How many hours have you put in so far? Are you getting activity over the baits? Are you getting liners? Knowing this will go a long way to us being able to suggest things.

    ( 1 ) Had a few blanks over a weekend period.

( 2 ) Yes i am getting activity over the baits. Infact i am having loads but they never seem to take it for some strange reason. I have tried changing the shapes of baits, hook size's, bits and bobs but nothing seems to help get them on the hook.

From your previous posts it appears that you`re fairly new to the carp scene. I doubt that in the short time you have been at this game you`ve had the opportunity to experiment with everything.........

Been carp fishing for about 7 months. Nearly every weekend... Friday - Sunday, so i have put alot of hours into it. I fished for anything for about 2 years prev before i got into the carp scene.

Cheers for all the help/advice guys, much apprechaited

  15. Cheers off to the fishing shop tommorow anyways as wont be able to get there friday due to work... by the time i get home/packed and that and head towards the lake there shut so ye will look at the fishing shop. Any books you recommend?

  16. Cheers for the help guys, much apprechaited, your helping me out alot. I normally use a fox feeder, held in place with 2 weights and a all ready made hair rig with boilies. I have seen loads of people lately using big weights with hellicopter rigs or something??

  17. Hmmmm. So why do they only jump at certain times. Like they jump early hours in the morning.... "sunrise" or in the middle of the night but then you won't see them jumping through the day unless its very, very hot.
