I fitting a prowler elite 4.5 with a fishfinder I understand that only hummingbirds transducers fits the yak. I've heard some bad reports on hummers under £200, I wonder if you can mix different makes of fishfinders with the hummingbird transducer if so your opinons would be welcome.

Anyone got any ideas on protecting the underside of the yak during transportation to the water. Ive got a trolley but alway seem to badly scratch the yak when going over fences,railings.

hellow all, just bought my first kayak and would like any info on getting started. I'm no novice when it comes to angling but I'm a bit green concerning seacraft. I've got most of the gear wet suits.pdf etc and I'm planning for a VHF licence soon. Any possibility of tagging on to a trip somewhere to pick your brains. Not bothered about midnight gonger bashing just yet. The last time I did the gonger around midnight I ended up with a shiner.I live just north of Nottingham so any replies welcome.
