  1. Hi, I am currently in Wanaka in New Zealand and have just had half a days guided fly fishing. Fanatastic fun in beautiful rivers but now I want to know where I can get someof this at home (Sevenoaks, Kent). I know I am not going to find rivers like the are here but just wondering if their are any trout rivers at all nearby to me? I have only fished with a fly 3 times - Wanaka, Tasmania and the Exe in Devon but would love to be able to go whilst not on holiday! Thanks in advance for the advice! Alastair
  2. Hi Dave. I think I will need a license to fish - is that correct? If so can I get it on line otherwise I will waste my fishing time ging somewhere to get it! What size lures should I be going for the bass do you think? I might try my fly rod with a bread fly for the mullet. Thanks for the advice Al
  3. Hi everyone, I have just joined up - with a busy job and 2 small kids fishing has suddenly become very appealing! Not doubt I'll be making losts of "advice please" posts so thanks in advance for any answers. To start of here is the first and only fish I have caught, with a spining rod in Brittany, France. I believe that its a common wrasse - can anyone give me an estimate of its weight? Thanks Al
  4. Hi Guys, I am going to have a day and half spare on a business trip to Puerto Banus in Spain in mid december and thought I might try my luck with a bit of shore fishing. can anyone give me any advice as to the species that will be around and also what lures (& sizes) I should try with? I have a basic 11' beachcasting rod. Please assume I know nothing as I have only just started and only ever caught one fish! Thanks! Al
