Gotta be some big ol' fish in that lake if their "crap" weighs 50lbs !!!!!!!!!
lol just wat i was thinking Polly

If it is, I should have wiped out one ot two small ponds of their Carp population by now. Most cheeses worked, but mature cheddar cut into tiny cubes & fished particle style was absolutely deadly.
I don't recall any health problems with the fish & I carried out quite extensive baitings. One big problem though, if you are that way inclined, is it's seriously non specific in it's appeal, I caught some lovely Tench, Roach & rudd in between the Carp.
cheers
i started thinking about it the other day on one of my drunken moments when i was looking at the cheese balls you can get from morrisons and was thinking about putting one on my hair rig to see wat would happen.
but actual cheese sounds a good idea for 2 reasons
1 on the hook
2 inbetween bread so i can eat it lol
cheers pete i will let you know how it gets on!

Depends on prices, and wether or not it attracks to many small fish, i know any bait will attract all different tpyes of fish, i just mean i dont want to be bugged by them all day!! I might give it ago just to see what happens!

Hi Martin sorry for delay.Nothing wrong with the Dartford waters in fact they were on the "must fish list" in my day.Just got the impression from g4fne that they werent what he was looking for!
Not having transport is a big problem isnt it? Great shame as in the area there is some great carp fishing. But all isnt lost mate just concentrate on being able to fish the waters you can get acsess easily too and getting the best from them. When its time to move on then you will find a way and all that youve learned will help you on the new waters.
I am trying to get my licence at the moment but things are getting harder!
i hope to expirence new lakes. i have aleardy been to "FRANT" and "HAWKHURST" thanks to friends driving but it would be nice to try other places with out them!

Hardly a quiet syndicate Martin!
True but as i dont dont drive its the only one i really know! Is there any good ones around near dartford ?????
martin

The only place i can think of is having a look at mid kent fisheries! some of their lakes are not to far away from you!

That applies to pasties but not to carp over 6 kilo's or so. Small 1 or 2 year carp are of little commercial value and if bought at all will fetch only about 1-2 euro's per kilo.
That isnt much!!
-
Its a shame they killed the carp.
The could have sold them to lakes in france!! I am sure some places would love to get there hands on some of them and cheap prices and HM Customs could have made some money out of it, to put into a sheme to stop fish smuggling!

Is there any good chat rooms dedicated to fishing?
At the moment i am using mIRC on the "netgamers" network and was thinking about making a room! But if there is a room somewhere out there i would gladly join it
