Hi All On the 24/25 May 2008 we are holding a “Come and try” weekend based around Sit on Tops and particularly Fishing sit on tops, on the sunny Island of Guernsey! The main purpose for this weekend is to introduce people to the concept of fishing from a kayak and also include elements of the Safety and other equipment involved. Total Fishing and Paddles magazine are interested in coming over and we have a local supplier who will be demonstrating some new Ocean Kayaks. On the Sunday we intend to run a fishing competition using sit on tops only. What we are short of is some guys and girls who have kitted out kayaks that would be prepared to demo their kayaks so other people can see what they can do and hopefully be able to have a try on some of them. In return we will give 5 people discounted travel on Condor Ferries (£20 foot passenger & £20 Car) from Weymouth or Poole and free campsite fees (just need to bring a tent). There are possibilities that we will secure more sponsorship within the next week so it could even be just the cost of your petrol to the port!!
