Can't you see ? You know that big SHARK. To be honest he eats fish so fish are scared of him. Der. Just say if you want to see an updated version of my fish tank.

  2. Looks a bit like

Hi nice to meet a fellow fish person. What capacity is that ? I've been in fish for over a year. My dads getting a 60g sump mines 10g. It's been going since christmas but i've got frags from everyone. I got cured rock.

  3. No seriousness in this thread, but out of all the fish in the world, regardless of saltwater or freshwater, and climate etc...

Which fish would you most like to introduce to you local lake/river?

    Wels Catfish

  4. I noticed you said that on another post as well. Why do you think zander are poisonous? John.
They have a poisenous spine. Ever heard of a Lion fish (Marine fish) same prospects but not as powerful.
What do you carry now for unhooking?
    Discorger.
  5. Dan, if you fish for 6 hours and you're not catching anything then you should move to another swim, change rigs, bait, presentation in fact anything until you find something that the fish will like. Anyone on here will tell you that no one bait, swim, rig, etc works all the time. You have to adapt to an unimaginable set of varying factors literally every time you go fishing.

This lake was not that big but me and my mate were legering on one half and my dad was fishing on the top on the other near the trees and to be honest we were covering the whole lake. Apart from the stream which ran in to the lake but that was in direct sunlight and me and my m8 saw 7 decent sized carp. We chucked in some pop-up boileys but 1 ate so it was pointless. There none on the bottom.

  6. Hi

You seem to be doing fine, when I was a young lad I dreamed of catching a 5lb Carp and was more then happy catching Roach. You are very fortunate to catch Poisenous Zander, I would love to catch one some day.

Dont try to run before you can walk, the bigger may well come some day, I am still waiting for my first British 30lb Carp and had to go as far as Thailand to catch a Carp of that size.

As for the shame of not catching, welcome to the world of angling. This happens to the best of anglers.

Anyway good luck with that big carp and don't be so hard on yourself if you blank once in a while.

My biggest fish is 7lb I was looking for 10lb but unlucky with that. At that lake aswell we didn't get bothered by Roach. My mate caught the Zander aswell.

  7. errr right...

Can anyone tell me why I need a EA license to fish in my own pond?

If I've dug the pond on my own land and stuck the fish in it I'm rather inclined to tell the EA to bog off.

What does err rightmean you can fish at any age

  8. Hi All.

I find it really hard to fing the right lake for me. I mean I got the tackle to catch an easy double digit fish. Although I'm only eleven I caught a few nice fish in CORNWALL on holiday. But I can't find a decent lake anywhere nere Basingstoke. In the big lakes you can get 30lb fish but in the little ones only annoying Roach and Poisenous Zander or if our lucky a 5lb Carp.

I found a nice lake with beautiful surrondings and I could get a nice double digit fish my type but after 6 hours my alarm didn't go off once while my dad was fishing on the top he caught 3 about 5lb carp and my dads friend a 9lb while I was left in shame. To make matters worse it was a sunny day I know fish are lazy on sunny days but I was legering on the other side of the lake in the shadows.

If anyone agress that lakes are annoying for the right size fish please reply and give me your view.

    Dan.

Ps. My dad's biggest fish is a 19lb (he does not go that oftesn) and my dads friend is a 32.25lb. Infact we did poor!

  9. how old are you? ,you could (but probably unlikely ....mind you a fine is a fine nowadays) be procecuted for carrying your tackle never mind using it ,going equipt to fish is no difference to going equipped to burgle ,monies tight in gov circles :D

you need a licence to fish anywhere

I'm eleven but i've got lots of tackle

  10. Hi all.

    Thank you.

    Dan.

  11. Hi all.

I need lots of help for finding a fishing lake. One thats open in the closing season. One that you don't need to purchase a fishing lisence and is under about £15 to fish per rod. And thats near Basingstoke or about half an hour away.

    Thank you all so much.

    Dan
