  1. Thanks for all your help so far. Just to clarify, it is Blackburn in Lancashire I am talking about. I have had a look at the Hyndburn and Blackburn club and have emailed them a few questions, so I am waiting on them getting back to me. I mean I am prepared to look at places like Preston and Bolton etc... that arn't a million miles away. Any more ideas?
  2. Having read about these two places in the Anglers Mail this week and realising there are not too far away from me, I was wondering if anyone had ever fished them and knew more about them?
  3. After fishing on and off for many years now, at 27 I have decided that I would really like to join a course fishing club and start entering competitions and really enjoying the sport. I live in Blackburn but have only been here a few years. Does anyone know of any good clubs I could join? I would like to take this quite seriously and even have ambitions to try and qualify for next years Fish O Mania (well you gotta have ambition) so I would like information on a good club that is well structured and organised. I am prepared to travel a bit. Thanks Darren
  4. I have only been living in Blackburn for just over two years. I haven't done a lot of fishing so far but I am keen to get started properly again. I come N.Ireland and used to fish the River Bann and bag big bream which I really enjoyed. I don't live far from the canal and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good spots along it? On my way to the 'Outlaws' heading on the M65, just before I come off at the junction for Manchester etc... I see a few sections of the Canal on my left that look very good - anyone shed some light on this? I would be keen to hook up with some folk for a few days fishing if anyone is interested. All advice welcome. Darren
