    I intend to fish from the beach, which isn't 6 miles out. So...does that mean that I still need a licence? Sorry, just want to be sure, the last thing I want is to have someone come and ruin the weekend by fining us! lol

    Guys, sorry am new, and new to sea fishing. Can I take it then, that if I wanted to fish off a beach in Essex, currently I do not require a licence? Is that correct? All help and advice would be welcome on this as want to do a spot of sea fishing when the bf comes to visit in a few weeks and would be nice to have everything sorted first
