Hi Leon Thanks for the welcome. I live probably about 20 minutes from Bondi Junction, and infact now you would probably not recognize it with its massive shopping centres and expensive real estate. Woollongong as well has changed over the years, and while before no one wanted to live down there, now many Sydneysiders fed up with the exhorbitant prices charged for units here, have decided to live down south and commute to work. Quite a number of our fellow fishing kayakers live south of Sydney. Beautiful places down there. Cheers Simon Prowler 15

Hi all I live in Sydney, Australia and I have been kayak fishing for the past 5 years. I live close to the ocean (Clovelly, near Bondi) and do mostly ocean fishing. At the moment here in Sydney it is winter and the water temp is around 15.5 to 16 degrees C. In another few weeks we should be starting to get our first kingfish, then it will be on for young and old! I am a member of the AKFF (Australian Kayak Fishing Forum) and a number of us get together on a fairly regular basis for a fish either during the week or weekends, weather permitting. I fish from an Ocean Kayak Prowler 15, and I love that craft. BTW, great site with heaps of info. Cheers Simon Prowler 15
