  1. Hi everyone!

I just want to promote my website Fishyworld, which some of you may have seen in your google searches...

Searching for example "Pole fishing" reveals my site Fishyworld as one of the top sites :)

The website has been online since 2003 and has been visited around 160,000 times and counting. Its been mentioned in the angling press a few times, and has also won an AnglersNet Golden fish award back in its earlier days...

Due to personal reasons, I was unable to update the site for a long while, but I have been working on the current form since the start of 2010, and although I am far from finished, I hope people will support it anyways!

The design is nothing fancy as I am not that experienced, but its simple, very fast page loading and to the point, aswell as being alot better than the old designed site which was put online back in 2005.

I am ironing out a few bugs at the moment, taking one page at a time, aswell as adding discreet adverts to hopefully pay for some of the hosting and domain costs.

Anyways, I hope you can give me plenty of feedback here

    Thanking you in advance

btw, here is the link :camera:Fishyworld

  2. Trust me, Shimano are VERY strict when it comes to the name Baitrunner.

I worked in the tackle trade for 5 years, they warned a few companies that said there reel was a "baitrunner" and not a "free-spool" reel.

It might be the "house-hold name" but its still there name! :D

  3. A Baitrunner:

A reel made by Shimano that has a spool release function called the Baitrunner. This disengages the spool from the main workings of the reel allowing a fish to run off with the bait without pulling the rod in. To engage the reel again, the angler must simply turn the handle.

    ----------

Remember that Shimano own the rights to the name "Baitrunner" and therefore any other brands reels with the same facility are called "Free spool reels" or Daiwas trademark "Bite and Run"

  5. RUDD:

My local drennan tackle dealer says they are hard to get hold of.

They prefer him to speak to the area rep than to their head office.

They wont let him have credit, make him pay cash up front, then deliver the wrong or more tackle then he ordered and try to make him pay for it.

He also has problems with Nash.

The other shop in our town stopped stocking drennan as he had loads of the same problems with them.

I sometimes wonder how some of these companies survive.

They are only two shops. They probably dont pay there bills on time in the first place so they have to pay Pro Forma.

I worked in a Suffolk tackle shop for 5 years, NEVER had a problem with Drennan in that way.

Trust me, its the tackle shops having problems with Drennan!

As for Nash, well yes, he aint the best when it comes to service.

  6. my pole fishing guide

I am not going to write things in here as i have it written already on my site, but click the above and you will have my advise on buying a pole.

I have also recently added a how to elasticate a pole.

    Plenty more coming soon!

  7. Buy her a top of the range 13' match rod (well her paying, you advising) and then see her use it...

  8. My web site will give you a little help, but getting your lad down to the tackle shop to sit with a few will be the best idea. If you don't like your tackle dealer, take the kids uncle for advise

    But here is some reading

    Pole fishing

  9. Suffolk Water Park if you want alot of action.

BUt travelling to the fens in Norfolk is very much your best bet for the real big gals.

Speak to David Godbold at Birds Tackle in Great Blakenham near ipswich (2 or so miles from the water park) and he can tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about piking in Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire area. He practically lives up on the fenland drains and Ouse.

He is only there on a Wednesday now and even if you are in Thetford the drive is well worth the trouble as its a big store 5000sq ft with a good pike tackle range and thousands of lures.

    :)

  10. Thank you for awarding my site fishyworld an anglersnet GOLD award.

Its displaying proudly on my site as you can see.

Everyone is of course welcome to keep looking back as i update it even more in the coming weeks and months.

    :)

I do it all for the fun of it in my spare time and therefore cannot always update it as often as i like but new matierial is always being written to be uploaded.

    Thanks once again :)

  11. I won't comment on what pole to get as i am unable to keep up with things now that i live in Denmark. But i did work in a tackle shop in suffolk for 5 years before moving here and with that experiance have written some useful information about choosing a first pole on my web site

    My site

    Goto the pole fishing section.

Its not complete at the moment as i am slowly but surely updating it but it will certainly help you in choosing the right one for the job.

    :)

  12. I host my site with http://www.34sp.com

My 30mb space was very competive prices at a measly £15 per year :D

I aint sure how much this site would require but i bet its alot more..lol

But i shall say this, my site has only been down 4 or so times since i got it in March and that was only for litearally a few minutes at a time. They also sent emails to inform me as to WHY the server went down if it was for a longer time. Also ALL emails i have sent to them have been answered within a few hours.

  13. Don't ya remember?

the hunt for WMD's is not really the issue now

    Its the human rights!

BUT, the capture and trial of him will be a good thing for Europe indeed!

I have been reading in the danish newspapers today that alot of the Iraqis here in Denmark will NOW go back to Iraq!

They fled because of that B****** had killed there brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers etc.

But they openly admit now they WILL go back

This will free up goverment spending on asylum seekers, housing etc etc for all european countries.

Its a good thing and although i don't mind them coming to the west IF and only IF they adapt to the cultures instead of hating it but its good they want to go home.

  14. I can answer the question as to why they seem to speak perfect English.

Thats because they don't have English TV programs dubbed (Like the french) they use subtitles in dutch instead.

That and good schools i guess.

Same here in DK, the danes seem to speak better English than us that only speak english!
