  1. Hi everyone! I just want to promote my website Fishyworld, which some of you may have seen in your google searches... Searching for example "Pole fishing" reveals my site Fishyworld as one of the top sites The website has been online since 2003 and has been visited around 160,000 times and counting. Its been mentioned in the angling press a few times, and has also won an AnglersNet Golden fish award back in its earlier days... Due to personal reasons, I was unable to update the site for a long while, but I have been working on the current form since the start of 2010, and although I am far from finished, I hope people will support it anyways! The design is nothing fancy as I am not that experienced, but its simple, very fast page loading and to the point, aswell as being alot better than the old designed site which was put online back in 2005. I am ironing out a few bugs at the moment, taking one page at a time, aswell as adding discreet adverts to hopefully pay for some of the hosting and domain costs. Anyways, I hope you can give me plenty of feedback here Thanking you in advance btw, here is the link Fishyworld

    baitrunner

Trust me, Shimano are VERY strict when it comes to the name Baitrunner. I worked in the tackle trade for 5 years, they warned a few companies that said there reel was a "baitrunner" and not a "free-spool" reel. It might be the "house-hold name" but its still there name!

    baitrunner

A Baitrunner: A reel made by Shimano that has a spool release function called the Baitrunner. This disengages the spool from the main workings of the reel allowing a fish to run off with the bait without pulling the rod in. To engage the reel again, the angler must simply turn the handle. ---------- Remember that Shimano own the rights to the name "Baitrunner" and therefore any other brands reels with the same facility are called "Free spool reels" or Daiwas trademark "Bite and Run"

  6. They are only two shops. They probably dont pay there bills on time in the first place so they have to pay Pro Forma. I worked in a Suffolk tackle shop for 5 years, NEVER had a problem with Drennan in that way. Trust me, its the tackle shops having problems with Drennan! As for Nash, well yes, he aint the best when it comes to service.
  7. Get a tube that are use for undeerground Drainage. Get a couple of end caps and your sorted... remember to bubble wrap the rods still though and make sure they cannot move about in the tube.,
  8. go for a Boss pole roller. Nuff said really. Goto the pole section of my web site to see a picture of one.
  9. Excellent service here One of the best i have used via the web! 48 hour delivery and free postage in the UK on most things!
  10. my pole fishing guide I am not going to write things in here as i have it written already on my site, but click the above and you will have my advise on buying a pole. I have also recently added a how to elasticate a pole. Plenty more coming soon!
  11. Buy her a top of the range 13' match rod (well her paying, you advising) and then see her use it... It will b e so light she will soon be flinging out the floats! [ 20. January 2004, 09:26 PM: Message edited by: lee wood ]
  12. My web site will give you a little help, but getting your lad down to the tackle shop to sit with a few will be the best idea. If you don't like your tackle dealer, take the kids uncle for advise But here is some reading Pole fishing
  13. Suffolk Water Park if you want alot of action. BUt travelling to the fens in Norfolk is very much your best bet for the real big gals. Speak to David Godbold at Birds Tackle in Great Blakenham near ipswich (2 or so miles from the water park) and he can tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about piking in Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire area. He practically lives up on the fenland drains and Ouse. He is only there on a Wednesday now and even if you are in Thetford the drive is well worth the trouble as its a big store 5000sq ft with a good pike tackle range and thousands of lures.
  14. Lot more work to be done but thanks
