Update for 2024 -
SHOTTON HALL ANGLING CLUB
Shotton Hall pond is open to members of the Shotton Hall Angling Club fishing syndicate and day ticket holders only. There are no other associations with any other fishing club. Shotton Hall Angling Club is a non-profit organisation with all club funds going towards the running of the club, the maintenance of the pond and all of it's surroundings.
From 2nd January 2024, new memberships will be available. These are obtained in person only at Old Shotton Hall.
Current members of 2023 will have until Wednesday 31st January 2024 to renew their membership. From Thursday 1st February 2024, new memberships will be offered to all on the waiting list and any new member who wishes to join.
All new members are required to supply two passport-sized photographs upon application. One is for club records, and the second is affixed to your membership card.
The 'pay-per-fish' payment system of 2023 has been replaced by a one-off fee and is broken up into two categories. Firstly, on the date of application, if a prospective member is UNDER 16 years of age (proof of age is required upon application) they will only be required to pay £10 for a full years membership. Secondly, those aged 16 years and above on the date of application, there is a one-off fee of £35 with no need to pay every time you fish.
Members will have the facility to obtain their own key to our own angling gate at a cost of £10. This fee is refundable should you ever leave the club. This key provides access to our own gate into Shotton Hall grounds and allows you to fish out of Shotton Hall opening/closing times.
Day tickets will also be available at £15 each during Shotton Hall opening times. This day ticket allows you to fish during Shotton Hall open times during Monday to Friday only, and is only available on the day of application. There are no day tickets available for weekend or out of Shotton Hall opening hours.
All fees are to be paid at the reception of Shotton Hall. Card payments only please, we do not accept cash. There will be no more than 50 syndicate Members. You will be asked for photo ID and proof of residence when you apply for membership. Membership of the syndicate and day tickets are subject to the pond rules. If a member or day ticket holder are found to be in breach of any rules then they will generally receive one warning, and an opportunity to rectify their behaviour. A second breach will result of them being removed from the Shotton Hall Angling Club syndicate without further notice or refund, and they will lose the right to fish at Shotton Hall Pond. Serious breaches of the rules will result in immediate removal from the Shotton Hall Angling Club syndicate.
