  1. I went night fishing last friday night and caught my first ever fish!! :) It was a lovely 8oz Brown Trout
  2. I would either run the fishery myself after doing some homework (addmittedly I am limited in fishery experience) or I would lease the fishery straight out. The club are still leasing until September if i remember correctly so I imagine they are happy with it. Rich
  3. From what i can gather John it has been stocked with mixed course fish, I dont know yet what fish exactly are in there but a few weeks good fishing would give me an idea
  4. Apologies my mistake. the lake/pond/reservoir is actually fed by water off the local landscape
  5. I have been looking at lakes and this is an old reservoir with parking. It is just over 3 acres and being sold what do you think? http://www.fisheries4sale.com/UK_Cliffe-Re...e-reservoir.htm

Love reading your write ups! they get me in trouble at work haha! no but yet another great one, Thanks
  7. I wouldnt mind trying out the river Don but im not too sure if anything actually lives in there!
  8. Sorry about all my questions! but just to clarify does my hook and bait need to be on the lake bed? Or does it need to hang in the water? If it needs to be on the lake bed should I buy one of these floats that slowly sink (cant remember the name of it).
  9. John Wilson Project M Avon Quiver Rod - Save 30% Plus Half Price Reel Offer RRP £49.95 The John Wilson Project M Avon / Quiver System is built on a superb high modulus blank. Compact three piece construction and perfect for the mobile angler. Is this right? ^
  10. Ah right ok then I thought i maybe could catch other fish with it too. I dont think i want the big fish yet as im not experienced enough and wouldnt know what to do. Thanks for the help, I have 3 tackle shops near by so its their loss really
  11. Thanks, its £44 with the reel! they have 30% off this is great! I was expecting to spend a lot more but given what advice I have had I dont really need to wow looks a nice rod too. Thanks again Chris
  12. Thanks for all the advice im 18 dont know how to change the junior thing. i did some research and im going to use a reel as aposed to a pole. I saw a good carp starter kit but i will take your advice and look for the correct gear
  13. Hi, Im in Sheffield up in high green. we have about 4 dams within walking distance and im guessing they have carp in, but im not certain. I have seen some carping equiptment for pretty cheap, but i want to catch other fish too.
  14. I do yeah, they just sorta looked at eachother and basically took the pee. I have never seen a Bayliff round our Dams, probably why we get idiots messing about round our spots. I been on Ebay and found a 12ft TFG X-Plus Multi Tip Fishing Feeder Ledger Rod and a RON THOMPSON ZENSORFLEX BEACHCASTER 13ft three piece rod. they seem to be what im after, i just need a reel if i get one of them. I will have a read up too, thanks MJ
  15. I spoke to some people at the tackle shop but the just sniggered at me! You have got to start somewhere right? I want to be casting about 30+ foot but the weights are just sinking my float. I need a decent rod preferable with a good reel. If anybody has bait tips please let me know as I have been using dough with tuna juice. And how far up my line should I be attaching my float? I really just want to get started now and get a good rod and equiptment so if you can let me know what is the best it would be really helpful,
