  1. im pretty new to fishing and now the cold weather is here i fancy having a go at pike ive caught a few jacks whilst lure fishing on windermere in may but as far as dead baiting goes i havnt a clue, i got myself some mackerel today and i can set up a running ledger. but how to know were to fish and if im doing it right ? i have read numerous articles on the net but i would like some real advice. what should i look for when picking a swim? and how long should i wait before moving else were? does any one fish the canal near netherton i plan on going tomoz at some point and again through the week any advice would be much appriciated as i havnt the foggiest thanks guys
  2. ano well i thought the same but on the website it says tench to 10lbs so i am deffo giving it a go cant hurt i suppose thanks for the help
  3. just another quick question was wondering if any one could help me with i heard from a man in a southport tackle shop that the back drains is free to fish but on researching this i get the impression its a day ticket water does any one know weva any of this is true ? i was thinking maybe only a certain stretch was day ticket ?? thanks
  4. hi i have been told by what i beleive to be a good source that southport drains hold some good tench and i know its renowned for its pike i was wondering if the tench tale is true and has any one got any information on were it would be best to fish it for them and any tackle/bait tips it would be much appreciated as i have never fished the place before thanks
