I'd say move on aswell. Idiots like that spoil the sport for the rest of us. I bet there are many other places including rivers and canals that are just a short drive away from you. Give them a try. Nik

Thanks Newt. Fish safety is always my number 1 priority. The largest Carp that I have caught is 16 1/2lb but I would love to catch bigger and better. Once I get into this forum more I am sure I will get all the answers that I need. Nik

Just thought I would say hello and tell you all a little about myself. I am new here but have been fishing for about 30 years. (since a small child) I am quite a good fisherman but am lacking in the technical side of it all. I love Carp fishing but just do the standard float and Ledger fishing. I am realy looking forward to learning the ins and outs of Carp fishing including setting up my own rigs and the proper equipment that would be needed. The reason I love Carp fishing is because I love the fight and these fish are beautiful. All help in the future would be greatly appreciated and maybe something I can pass on to my kids in the future. Speak to you all soon. Nik
