    That is exactly what I mean. Wasting half my day looking for an answer I came across this site. This shop holder shares Worms' idea of measuring the line itself or the knot strength.

    Hi all, I was looking at Ebay to order some fishing line and I noticed there's a big difference in Strength/Diameter between identical lines offered bij US/UK sellers and sellers from Europe's mainland. Example: Stren Microfuse UK/USA sellers: 10 lb line - 0.20 mm diameter Picture of package 10 lb - 0.20 mm Dutch company 4,4 kg line (=10 lb) - 0.06mm diameter Another Example: Power Pro US seller: Table of diameter/strength European mainland sellers: A link with strengths/diameters of Power Pro according to a Dutch site Again, lots of difference! This counts for Spiderwire as well. Does anyone of you have an explanation for this? Is line strength in different countries measured in a different way or with different restrictions?
