  3. Thanks for the info, will go ask around D
  4. Hi Michael There is a bit more to fly fishing than flick and hooking a fish. My advice is go to a fishery and ask fo help in casting. You will learn to read water and get used to hooking, playing and landing a fish. When you understand things a bit more then head to lake or river with someone who knows what they are doing. Fly fishing takes time to master but once there its a dream way to fish. Choose a rod and reel that are not to heavy or costly and a floating line to start with. Cast no more than two flies to start with and use bought flies. If you decide this the sport for you then you can invest in a better rod, reel and line and learn to tie your own flies. Lots of anglers are willing to help and share their skills and knowledge. Tight lines
  5. Hi all Any ladies anglers online
  6. Hi all New to this site and the rules of fishing in England . I fly fish and I am used to river and lough fly fishing . I have spent most of the past 10 years fly fishing lough mask in the west of Ireland which is free of permits and licences. I tie all my own flies. Can anyone tell me about who to talk to about getting a permit to fish the Tyne river around Haltwhistle, Have asked in Tourist office, partnership offce and emailed everyone and still no further along with info. I have found some still waters around but rainbows are not the same a wild brownies. Any info or help welcome Thanks
