Hi all Neil is the name, 59 year old builder from Nottingham with a little time on my hands at the moment with the building trade being flat and semi retired, I have fished from a boy but have just taken it up again about 4 years ago and love it, If I catch it’s a bonus but just like switching off from the noise of work etc. I go fishing at Hackett’s Lakes you can catch every time you go, and a member of NAA they have few waters local to me and most of them are Ok. still looking for the big one, to say I have fished 100's of times I am still learning I find the tips and video's on Angling Times very useful I am looking forward to finding my way around the forum Thanks for listening

Hi all, Just finding my way round the forum at the moment, I have the fishing bug and its brill. I am in my fiftys and have took it up again now I have a bit more time on my hands, I have been at Hackkets lakes in Nottingham, and what a food place to fish, £6 per day and £1 per rod after. some good Carp in there, have cought every time I have been, last time I had a 7lb mirror on a single maggot on a size 16. so you don't even have to set up for Carp! I am still looking for different places to fish in Nottm (any suggestions out there) I Tried the Embabkment on the Trent for the 4th time this year (not very good) so I will give that up. Looking dforward to some good fishing Simmi
