Pike stalker

I cnt believe all the carp anglers on here and no1 has fished bluebell and has no advice!!!

I'm off to bluebell lakes to do a 48 hour session on the mallard lake and am wondering if any1 has any bait tips , tactics and tricks en hints?

Yeah it was a crazy Lil critter, it was kiting and taking line like know 2morro. I thaught it was a decent double the way it was goin. I don't reckon I'd fancy a ghostie that was 30lb to b fair lol

Iv just done a couple hours up a local still water and bagged a 6lb 5oz ghost carp off a single hookbait, what I would like to know is...... How big do ghosties grow as Iv only ever seen them as low double figure fish, and is there a reason for this???

Thanks for the input there guys, and don't worry we don't sleep till the following day as we know deep hooking can occur and always hav my unhooking Matt and sum powerful torches for the process. Fish care is number 1 priority!

Me and my pal do up 2 nites on a stretch of river we know and it produces alot of good pike, I jus want to know if there r many others who do this aswell

Iv been hearing alot about people using vodka soaked or injected deadbaits and having some serious results in the way of big pike on the bank! I want to know if it works , y it works and does it not harm the pike??? Info plz

Yeah think I'm gunna make up my own ground bait, sum bred flake corn and crushed gravy bones (dog biscuits), is wot I have used on lakes in past and seems to work very well. Theese are defiantly double figure carp so hopefully I will hook in to 1 and the fight will be tremendous

Seen some really nice Looking carp in the river where I pike fish so think I'm goin to set up for them this wkend. Iv done a Lil carp fishing normally on lakes so jus wanted some advice on river tactics. Thanks

Me and pal are thinking of doing a couple of nights on the broads nxt month can any1 advise some good pike spots ?

There's a 1 mile stretch of the nene by me that is ALOT wider than the rest of the river and it looks ALOT deeper too! What I would like to know is do the bigger pike like the bigger parts of the river???

Defiantly worth upgrading the line cheif it's all good in theory but u just Neva know what size crocodile might latch on to ur lure and if u get in to a monster like smokin line says u will b pretty f####d mate.

Hi I'm a keen river fisherman but do like the challenge of the sea, me and my pal went to swanage last summer to have a go sea bass fishing but all we seemed to catch was pollock and a couple of mullets. So need some advice on hotspots and any tips please because we are goin to try again this year. Thanks

I Can't remember it was jus something I came across while trolling the net for info, Iv only been pike fishing for about two years so I'm trying to get as many tips an peices of info in my armoury as possible.

Iv never used any livebait but would like to give it a go. The problem I have is that I read an article saying that the bigger pike don't tend to go for livebait! If anyone can shed some light on this it will b much appreciated

The reason I started pike fishing a couple of years ago was because, I was out on the bank early one morning drifting some bread mid surface towards a shoal of bream that I'd seen in the same spot for a couple days.. Anyway after I couldn't entice the bream in to biting I started to reel bk in wen from nowhere I saw this long sleek shadowy fish creep up behind my bread. Slowly bring it in I realised this was a pike and not just any pike a big double. So after a couple of early morning luring sessions from that spot which produced nothing me an my pal went "shopping" and got kitted out with some gear to try and land these pike. We done a night up there with 4 rods between us all which had joey mackerel on. The results where outstanding soon as midnight had past the bites where fast and thick we bank over a dozen pike between us most just under 10lb but 3 or 4 all in the upper doubles! Now I'm still trying to catch myself a 20lber

Iv been there a few times as I used to work on the catering facilities, this is b4 I was interested in fishing mind you. It's a very very buisy show and alot of good bargains to be found but like any shopping make sure u look around for the best deal for you!

Yeah I think I will prob stay with fox Iv always used them and had no probs with them, on the other hand I wouldn't mind tying something new like a greys!!
