Do you not find you get a few more tangles when you feather, I do it occassionally but find it increases the chances of tangled rigs, cept for short stiff links.

Look near the mouth entrance to Roswell pits. Its near the old sugar beet factory. Just up from the railway bridge. I have seen them from Roswell side and there are some nice fish there probably around low 30 Lb being the largest i have seen. If you travel light and are prepared for a hike you can fish roswell side but it is a long and difficult hike. I find roswell a wild and bewildering place and almost of an unknown entity. If anyone is into tipping for Bream they will find this place a right headbanging venue. The fish are nomadic in this pit passing in and out of the river entrance regularly.
