I now have two versions of the Junior one with metal gear one with balck plastic gear. PLEASE can anyone tell me if there are other versions and how to identify them. THANK YOU. Still cant find the something strange on the green continental !!!!! PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All I have aquired a Fly Wallet which is stamped inside "J E MILLER NORTHERN ANGLERS DEPOT LEEDS" I have read that Francis M Walbran was the owner of this shop in New station street and moved to Wellington Street. Hi All Could I Politly ask if anyone has an Original Intrepid Junior spool they would sell or know the where abouts of one. I have just noticed that the Junior I have has an Intrepid "Standard" spool on it !!!! That will teach me to look more closely when I buy. THANK YOU in anticipation of any replies. Kind Regards

I have got a green vesion of the continental and I am intrigued by your comment I have looked at the reel and apart from the cosmetic differences not noticed anything strange. If you want to save this information till I can PM I understand. I cant be far of the magic 15 posts now. Many Thanks for the information and yes the handle that I have does screw on to make it left hand wind. I never noticed the thread right at the back of the handle Thank You. Saved me searching for something that does not exist. I can now move on. I now have one version of a junior (were there more) two versions of the standard two versions of the intrepid three versions of the de luxe ! can I politly ask if there were more. Kind Regards

Hi All PLEASE can anyone give me any information as to the history of this reel ? I have two reels one green left hand wind and one black which looks to be left and right hand wind but the handle only fits one side !!!! Did this reel come with some sort of adapter for the handle or was it originaly supplied with two handles ? I would be most pleased to hear from anyone with any information about this reel however small. THANK YOU in anticipation of a reply. Kind Regards

Dont know if this is the right place to post this. I have just aquired yet another "Standard" this one is boxed and has the inner plastic case priced 35/1. I also have ones that are just in older card boxes the difference between the two apart from age seems to be the handle !! Does anyone have any information as to any other versions of the "standard" I would appreciate any detail however small THANK YOU. Kind Regards

Many Thanks for that I will have to learn how to PM. I am collecting reels and bits of information all the time so I may have something that may be of use to you. At the moment I am trying to obtain some old mags and papers from friends early 60s' you never know There might be an odd article etc. Kind Regards

Hi Wow what have I let myself in for !! After reading this my intention is to restrict myself to just the early reels so I would be very pleased if you could supply me with a list of reels from the Junior if that was the first up to the Rola. I am looking for dates they appeared on the market and versions of each reel. I know this is a very big ask so PLEASE advise me if it would be better to ask a specific question about a reel. I had looked at the Intrepid website and I agree its a shame it ran out of steam. I hope I have not asked too much of you if so my appologies. Kind Regards
