  1. Sorry for the late reply......I believe Will has had to get areal job so dont know if he's crewing any more...shame if he isn't as he was one of the best.
  2. Hi Barry....I'm fishing with Paul on Brighton Diver....dont know if there's any spaces as he always has the Sky Sports crew on board for the comp....give him a call. All the charters get involved and I think Ray on Grey Viking takes individuals if Paul is full up.

  4. It's a shame that one skipper can create bad feeling....there are plenty of good skippers at Brighton and the fishing is varied.....I'll always fish from there.
  5. This was an individuals day and someone else paid so not sure.....check Brighton Diver website....he does have a mialing list and the last one I had it was £400 for 8 anglers on weekdays and I think £450 weekends. He will take more at pro rata rates and I think he is licenced for 12 if you have a big party......plenty of room as its a nice big cat.
  6. Sorry Brry...that was meant for the original poster....we were litterally a few hundred yards from him all afternoon.
  7. The very same....top bloke and I'll pass your regards barry. As for the next post we were a few hundred yards south of you but we did move a couple of times to get on the fish.... Believe me there are good skippers in Brighton....most of them will try their best for you.
  8. New on here people but some may know me from another forum....... I wanted to let you know that the cod are now certainly playing off the coast of Brighton... On Sunday the weather was not great.....we had the day planned for the last wecking trip of the year but no chance of that. Skipper said the day before that we would try inshore if we wanted to (individuals day so up to each person). I decided to go for it as I hadn't got out for a while and as it happend so did everyone else. The skipper told us that we would have to stay in fairly close so to cover everything get some worm and some cuttle. We set off East and drifted with flattie baits for a couple of hours and picked up a few nice plaice.... Then it was off to anchor to see if we could get some of the cod that may be about. Anchored near some of the other Brighton boats near Newhaven..... Dropped baits and then told to reel in and moved the boat a few hundres yards. At this point I decided big cuttle bait and off we went......within 10 minutes the first cod came. From then on it was steady fishing with cod coming to newbies and experienced alike......I caught my PB of 17lb and most were in the doubles.....about 15 or so caught in all. A great day especially for the guys that had never done this before and we were well looked after by Will the crewman. So it's all looking good for this winter if you can find the right spot..... The boat....Brighton Diver Other boats also scored with Newhaven's own Sea Leopard getting one cod of 20lb. Alan.
