hi all. im new to this forum and to fishing all together.iv been 4 times and the first time a kind fisherman came over to tell me everything i was doing was wrong and kindly showed me how to use a feeder ,as at the place i was fishing was the best method.so iv been using a feeder with maggots on one rod and ground bait on the other (when im not using the other for float).anyway i keep hearing and seeing these boiley thingy mabobys.just wanted to know how to use them and how they differ from maggots.im happy with maggots but thats only because there the only things i know how to use that is all

hi all.just got into fishing the last month or two.im from derby and fish at a local lake in belper if any of you know it. i know next to nothing about fishing other then i have a feeder rod and a carp rod.i have only been fishing 4 times up to now and iv been using the feeder technique and a float technique.i have only caught 1 fish up to now but as i got it near the bank it took me hook.think it was too do with the crappy knot i had done anyway i hope to learn alot from you fellow fishermen and bare with my cluelessness
