Actually I visited Bracknell angling centre today and the owner was very helpful, understanding and he listend. So, tomorrow I am picking up my new gear. I have two Shimmano reels that are capable of holding 4000 mts of line, I will need these as my local lake is about 100 feet across. They are also ultra light considering there size, which is about the size of a car engine. I also purchased two 30 foot carbon carp rods with a test curve of 60 IBs. These are also handy for storing as they break up into 25 small pieces, therefore no need for a large rod holdall. My optonics are state of the art, linked to N.A.S.A, they even tell you if the fish is thinking of taking you bait. I did decline on the bivvy, I have made my own, sowing together 50 or so old teatowles I found, I then sprayed them with a waterproof substance. Boilies are easy, TESCO value potatoes, tinned of course, soaked overnight in WD40. And thats it! Impressive huh?
Seriously the guy in the shop lead me in the right direction and I am making a list, ready to order. There is a carp in my local lake, not big about 25 Ibs, but I have never herad that he/she has been caught. I have seen it showing off very near me, blowing bubbles ate me and showing me its tummy. I want it!!
