  1. Think it's cause it's a new pack m8, you've probably seen it but never noticed lol.
  2. 100 traces purchased and waiting to be used.
  3. I just ment in general. I did have a bash last night further from my usual spot, where vertical jigging a worm was the only thing that worked thats what made me post lol Do you know of any good lures for them?
  4. I like to add in some chopped worm, coupled with casters mixed with any bread based mix. Works for me
  5. I'm bored of sitting watching a float whilst fishing for perch, I know there are others way like a mep or small shads. I guess what I'm asking is what's your tried and tested method for perch other than the float.
  6. Thanks man, whats the pen rod extrem you told me to check your signature but I can't actually tell what the rod is or where in any of the videos it's. Even the website isn't the best to view a picture of.
  7. I can't view topics like I used to where I would click a page number to get to the latest post now I just have to expand and colapse them, this I don't like .
  8. Thanks and yes you are correct on the side that I'm young but I do feel I have the experience nesescary when It comes to picking up a reel. I am completely gratefull for your post and shall look into it, suppose I have never given a thought to the second hand section anywhere but as money is tight I'm open to that. The reel in question (daiwa whatever model) has a good reputation with my fellow anglers and that why it was my first choice. I don't care what reels catch fish as I myself catch them no problem with the experience I have (10 years btw) and that would never influence my dessiscion, but thanks. Darren.
  9. Fair enuff, but one I will say (probably due to my lack years) is that I am catching plenty with whatever metal my hooks are and always have been does that mean my hooks are the attractor or is it the method that I use . Darren.
  10. That's the kind of things I ment in my post btw
  11. My answer to is it worth getting caught and asked to leave kindly? is yes it is. My answer to is paying £20 per year to fish? Of course if it where actually in force. There is stuff happening all over the canals in Scotland that nothing is been done about and for me (and I'm sure many other) I don't want to be paying to fish, where these things are happining. Before I get told off for not paying, I pay everywhere I go except canals. Darren
  12. I to have had that pleasure and that's where my post came from. With no shot any where near your hook the bait falls at a natural pace and this is what I think fish in the know look for, do you agree?
  13. Andy, Not got the exact name yet my friend but will do I've been searching for ages now. It's on a stand and it's all gray if that helps.
  14. I knew it was you yesterday but I had to check your pic to see lol should have guessed at you talking of the salmo, did you get any? I won't be up until Tuesday going up to garelochhead for a few days, sea trout and brownies are the target . I can't post my catches here can I because they are sea? It should be in the sea section is that right? Darren.
  15. Already got one in mind it's a Diawa. In the angling centre, £60. Just waiting on funds now lol.
  16. Thanks andy but now I'm looking to get a light action lure rod like you said, would £60 get me a good one?
  17. Hello amedeo Aparntly you need a license to fish the canals up here aswell but I don't know even one person who has one or ever be asked for one. I would go without one what the worst that could happen, think there only £4 or so a year anyway.
  18. Is that what your looking for? http://shop.naturesgrub.co.uk/epages/es114...Products/SK0750
  19. Taking that on board m8 and ordering now. Thanks for the help.
  20. Ok I've bought 100% deet at £7 per 200ml it's not bad. Used it once and I've got to say I'm impressed with it, it does lack duration tho. 12 hours fishing for trout with only a handful of bites was a big relief. Thanks to everyone who helped. Darren.
  21. Ok now I ashamed that I fell victim to the adverts I usually hate, I like the idea tho. Could anyone show me the way when it comes to compact fishing, ie; telescopics (everyone I've bought have broke pretty quick) small reels etc. Thanks Darren
