That was a cracking days fishing, found a lovely spot with over hanging trees & bushes right on the opposite bank. Took the advice of a few maggorts every cast and it certainly got rid of the initial small fish. I bagged several nice roach and perch using very light tackle and a telescopic rod. Thanks for that, will give it a try. Are we talking 5-10 maggorts every cast or something more? Thanks in advance.

I've just retaken up fishing since moving areas. I'm fishing the Oxford canal. Now I'm going fully prepared ( maggorts, Worm, bread & corn ) yet im struggling to get past the small fish. My set up is a crystal waggler with a 18/16 hook. I'm sounding out decent looking swims with character ( barges, overhanging bushes, etc ) even with juicy worms I'm catching gudgin (sp) its driving me nuts! Any help would be appreciated and quickly transferred onto my next fishing trip ( in around 6 hours ) Jay...
