  1. Definitely having a good time of it so far Rudd. Nothing better than a good spring start.
  2. Yeah it will be my first time. Thank you very much Steve for letting me come. I am looking forward to it a lot.
  3. Thats a great looking fish. Shame it will be hunted to the ends of the earth now.
  4. Cheers. I am leaning toward the JRC STI but I think I will also try to get down to a few tackle shops aswell and check theirs out. Does anyone know if go outdoors have any on display in stores?
  5. Hello, Thanks for those suggestions. My brother mentioned the JRC Sti and said he had borrowed one from someone on here for a trip to wingham so I had half considered that one but dont know of any similar ones to that that I can look at. I think that would be a good bet as it seems easier to erect too compared to the pram hood style ones. I suppose the most important thing is that it is sturdy and will last. Last thing I want is a leaking bivvy after a few uses. I think my budget would be £200 but that would be including an overwrap. Thanks again.
  6. Hello, I'm looking for a bivvy but dont really want to spend the absolute earth if I can help it. I was wondering if anyone knew of any cheaper bivvys that were actually worth the money. I know you usually get what you pay for but thought there may be a diamond in the rough somewhere that I havent heard of. I would probably use it now and then on the river for a night session or the rare carp or bream session on a stillwater so it needs to big enough for a bedchair really. Thanks
  7. In the end I went for some goretex overtrousers from the surplus store the guys linked to. I also ended up getting a t-shirt, normal trousers and a belt. I got a bit carried away. Great site though and good prices. Think I will be using them again. Thanks again.
  8. Many thanks for all the replies. I have plenty to look at there. I think I will certainly go with goretex. Was a bit hesitant to go for an over trouser but it is a very good point about being able to take them off if the weather gets better. Cheers fellas
  9. Hi, New member here. Been reading the forum for a long time and decided to sign up as I have a question. I am looking for some good waterproof but breathable trousers that will not break the bank too much. I am having a hard time deciding what to go for so was hoping someone could make a suggestion based on experience of a product. Thanks Baz
