Hi everyone, I've just signed up as I'd like some advice on a new rod. I'm primarily a sea angler but have done a fair bit of course fishing in the past. I'm wanting to get a new rod and reel but cant get my head around the choice available! Being a sea angler I tend to know what brands to go for as far as reliability and build quality for shore fishing but with course my knowledge on brands is pretty limited. I've been told to go for Shimano reels and Daiwa rods but I'd prefer your input. I'm in the market for a feeder rod and possibly another float rod as well. If you can recommend a matching pair that would be great. I'm also completely lost in terms of fixed spool sizes and what's best, I've seen 2500, 3000, 4000 size reels but that means nothing to me haha. My budget is around £250-300 for a rod and reel combo but if you can show me a rod that has interchangeable tips for float and feeder that would be great. Also to add I prefer my course rods around 10-11ft, I'm not to keen on long 13ft match rods. Thanks in advance.
