When I started fishing, a long long time ago in a stillwater far away. I had a float box full of floats, short, long, fat, thin some even long and fat, short and fat, long and thin........you get the picture. Then they were coloured, black blue green clear, etc.
I'm sure that each one had a particular job and my only clue was my collection of stillwater blues, for use on........yeah stillwaters haha even I worked that out.
But it didn't matter to me, I had my favourite floats I liked to use and I would slip on whatever I fancied trying that day. Now that I've started fishing again I've noticed if you want to buy a waggler then it had better be a crystal or be gone! I dont mind it, I understand why and all that but I miss opening up the box and looking over the floats hungrily then looking at the water and making my selection. Whatever happend to the stillwater blue, the canal grey, the peacock waggler, the bodied waggler etc.
Thanks for listening, I'm off to get my medication
