Has anyone got any spare/unused pole rigs as im 14 and sometimes have difficulty getting them set up right.

I am going to use sweetcorn as a hookbait on saturday fishing my local pond for some Roach and maybe some Carp. Everyone else uses sweetcorn and catches up to 25lbs of Roach a week. Any tips on hooking it?

Despite many attempts at trying i cant get a secure knot to fasten my hook length to my main line. So any kind people out there can you help me.

Whilst strolling down my local market today i saw a 3lb test curve 12ft rod with large rings. This looked really good as it was only £14. The man let me hold it to get a feel for it and it felt really nice but strong. Would this be suitable for double figure Carp and Pike?

My mum says i can get a new rod for chrimbo but i dont really know what i want. I have a kingfisher float rod which is ok but i want something which will handle proper carp up to 25lb but i can only spend £50 on reel and rod! any ideas [ 30. I have elasticated my 6 metre whip and now i am bagging a lot of Roach and some Carp! Its easy-but i have to admit before i started doing it i thought it was going to be hard. It cost me around £4.00 for the elastic which in my opinion shouldnt be higher than 8 for a whip, PTFE Bush, Bung and a Connector. go on: http://www.freenetpages.co.uk/hp/paulbroad/whip.htm on there is all the info you need. Polly, I would take up Pike fishing because there is a lake near me but im 14 with a Kingfisher Float Rod and im not quite sure how to fish for Pike any tips? Will i be able to use this rod for Pike fishing? - It has handled a 12lb 4oz Common before!

I normally go fishing every weekend if the weather is ok but recently i have gone from 10 till 5 and had about 4 bites and maximum one half pound Roach. This is at my local pond which normally fishes very well in the winter months. I fish maggots on float, or freeline some bread flake for the Carp. Any help?

In North and East Yorkshire this time of year not many ponds have fish in which are biting. Any recomendations for fisheries around Pontefract or Selby area?

For a while now i have wanted to get into fly fishing because fishing for Roach, Crap etc. is getting a bit boring, but i cant find any rods and even if i did i wouldnt know which one was right for me. Im 14 and have been fishing for about 6 months. I want a rod which i will be able to take to Lanzarote as they catch big fish on flys. Any reccomendations?

Im not sure it was an elastic pack with the elastic, bung, connector and bush in it didnt say what size the elastic was. The elastic is white and all of it cost £1.95 hope that helps
