  1. Nah..but theres a right tart fishing with us this weekend... :):)

Tis bad enough being told that you are not classed as crumpet but to be called a tart into the bargain....you are dead meat Southam  ~ haha you didnt know I was fishing did you :bigemo_harabe_net-163:

  2. No mention of Camera warnings!

I was told that the police have to notify the position of the mobile speed cameras a week or so in advance and Road Angel, for example, updates your system to warn you. Does this happen?

I get a weekly download updating on the position of the speed cameras, it was an extra but I think off hand it cost £19 a year for the subscription

woops forgot Orca was logged in

  3. On another note we had a fantastic week with everyone. It was great to see Sonja again, unfortunately Paul had to go home early due to the flu...... hope youre feeling better soon. The weather was crap but the banter was a great as ever, some good meals out and some great company for meals in.... Even had the Bottlenose Dolphins swimming in the loch. Hope to see everyone again soon.

I had to enhance the pic, as it was almost dark at the time, which actually made it more of a "life"saving situation....

    Well done Liam... :)

I'll second that, Norries not exaggerating the wee girl was in quite a bit of trouble and none of the divers were watching her at all , well done Liam, he can now officially wear his underpants over his trousers B)

  5. I'm really sorry to hear that Davy. I thought he was going to stick around for ever. Amazing how he used to perk up when you headed up to Lochaline.

I think that was his real home, he just used to tolerate your wee trips back to Clydebank :)

    How's Peanut coping?

    Hiya

Packed Davy off to Lochaline for the weekend, would have been too hard for him here, Thanks for all the thoughts everyone. Nick Peanut is moping quite a bit seems pretty lost but hopefully plenty of attention will soon sort him out.

  8. Mark, why don't you join the RNLI? It's £24 for a shoreline member, and £60 to be an offshore member.

As mike says membership is the way to go, youll find the majority of us on here are already members and as those of you who were on the The Scrabster 1 visit will know we have even had to make use of their services. And when the skipper gave us back some of our money it went straight to the RNLI funds.

  9. Congratulations Snatch its brilliant to see you getting youre cherry popped and excellent pictures too but can I give you one bit of advice . NEVER put your hand that close to a Skate's mouth, especially when getting pictures taken, as you very often dont pay attention to what is happening at that end. Believe me the Skate can project their mouths a good 4 inches very quickly and the crushing power is pretty good, remember they crush Scallops for dinner and would soon make mincemeat of a lump of human flesh. Usually wearing gloves when I remove any hooks just incase even though the Skates thorns can soon cut through gloves.

  10. Norrie when i did the night shift (many moons ago) it was usually 8 on and 8 off. found the best way was to have a nap around tea time for an hour on the night I was due to start. the best time for eating for most of us was 3am and when I went home I didnt go to bed for an hour of two after getting in.. On the last night it was usually best not to go to bed in the morning that you finished in order for you to get your body back to normal for the 8 days off. But as everyone says its each to theior own, whats good for one aint necessarily good for another.

  11. You don't suppose that Mrs Mint Card has been swimming and frightened all the poor wee skate away do you?

That sounds like a reasonable explanation Nick, god I felt really pretty and feminine next to her :clap2:

  12. you,ll not be the last to arrive linda , i,m not leaving till the early hours tomorrow , will be at corran for the first ferry in the morning so if anybody is still sleeping i,ll give them an early call at the camp site !!! :clap2:

Hehehe thank god were staying at the Hotel then

Reading all this makes me really wish I was able to make it... have a great time guys

hopefully well see you again soon David
