Peter, Hunting gets banned,the ca have only the shooters to defend,with hunting gone the anti's turn on the shooters[there not just going to dissapear]the ca defend the shooters but fail,shooting is banned,the anti's are still here and there is only fishing left,there is no ca anymore,who defends the anglers ?

well chaps,iam 33yrs old,been fishing since i could walk,the reason for the thread is i am sick of anglers pertraying that they are different than the hunters,it realy gets up my nose. pm, as far as iam conserned,if the blood is warm or cold it is still blood,i rest my case. dcb, town and country sport,THAT INVOLVES BLOOD!!!!! mpbdsnu,YES. pw,if you dont class fishing as a bloodsport,what happens when you strike a hook into a fishes mouth? Answer..9 times out of 10 it bleeds,so if thats not a bloodsport iam not a angler. ok match anglers pile massive amounts of fish,[carp or silver fish]into keepnets for long periods of time,in hot weather, carp anglers take there catch out of the water to be all loveydovey with them[iam not against that bye the way]put some clinic in there mouths and return them. Game anglers catch there trout or salmon,either nock them on the head or put them back,if they are coulored up. If you look at all these examples they all cause the fish stress or suffering,yet you go ahead and do it without a blink of the eye. as for the releasing of fox's into the wild,I think somone has been telling porkies,the only people that release them are the animal groups. It may sound like i am having a go but iam not,iam just telling it how i have seen it,alot of people believe what they read or hear,which is usually somthing the anti's have made up

PW,PM,do you class fishing as a blood sport.

disolve the it in boiling water,pour it on your expander pellets,let them soak it up,and you have a rubber pellet,good to hook and stays on for casting,you can also add flavour to it..

to many small fish on the worm,plugs and spinners work in the summer...........

the council didnt stock the carp,they were put in on the qt,as far as i know there are only 10 carp in it,you may have to stalk them in the summer months,they filled some ponds in so they had to dig another one,i used roach as bait,about 4inch long,either free lined or on a float rig in the margines,i havent fished it for 18 months so things might of changed, if you stand at the locked gate looking were you walk on the prison perimmiter is on your right,about 25yards away,hope this helps...........

graham,i have fished the water in question,never had any 4lb perch,plenty up to 2lb on livebaits,they will showl up when it gets cold,if i were to fish it in winter i would fish the west end where it is deeper, there are carp in there aswell,upto double figures,your not realy allowed to fish it,but nobody realy bothers.
