  1. I am registered Partially Sighted since birth and had brain surgery for water on the brain about 30 years ago. However I have been a keen coarse fisherman when I was younger and have in the last two years returned to trying fishing again after a break of over 25 years due to the effects of my brain surgery. This effects now to a limited degree my balance and more exacting manual tasks like tying knots and sometimes unhooking fish.I would dearly love to do more freshwater fishing but these limitations restrict me as I do need some assistance at times.I live in Clacton On Sea Essex and would ideally like to buddy up with someone else maybe with health restrictions as I can do perhaps things physically they cannot do which effects their ability to fish more often. If anyone knows of anyone or organisations locally who could help or in turn I could help please let me know.
  2. Hi All I live in Clacton On Sea Essex and are registered Partially Sighted since birth.I also went through brain surgery 30 years ago which at the time had a big impact upon what activities I could do.Overtime these restrictions have eased due to myself learning how to manage them i.e. knowing what I can or cannot do.As a youngster fishing both fresh and sea became a very therapeutic past time albeit I needed some assistance for tackling up my fishing rod i.e. tying knots and sometimes unhooking fish.I did this until my late 20's when as mentioned I had emergency brain surgery which had a significant effect on what I could then do physically and from being at deaths door so' to speak I then started a slow road towards trying to rediscover my old self.In 2020/ I got an opportunity to go fresh water fishing again and discovered how much I enjoyed the same albeit now my spacial awareness limits me to just this as my balance has been effected by the brain surgery so sea fishing is no longer an option as I can no longer ends of piers or off an open top boat.Locally to Clacton I have had the opportunity of fishing at Clayfields Fishery Weeley on three occasions but the person who I have been with is unable to assist me any longer.I
