  2. Not Really, I have contacts, fishing related and otherwise and can purchase goods at, in some cases greatly reduced prices. If say we got 25 people together and every one wanted some casein, then i would get the best price, check if this was acceptabe to people, buy the goods and then post off a kilo or whatever to them. We split the cost of the product and the postage. Currently i can get.. Semo Soya Casein whey protein Clo Nectablend Robin Red White Fishmeal Garlic Powder Red Pepper Powder Various spices Whole Egg Powder Most Pulses Minamino Working on flavours/enhancers Complications are i have minimum order levels with some companies, and all milk/bird etc come in 25 kilo sacks, but if enough people get involved that will not be a problem. Also, everything is a commodity, and as such, prices change day to day, so i cant say exactly what the cost is, i will have to allow a percentage either way. When i have got enough people i will detail what i have planned, but once we start placing orders with a couple of these companies, it will open other doors to us..
  3. Ok, thanks guys. Elton, did you get any interest ?
  4. Hi guys, Hope this doesn't bend or break any rules here, appologies if it does. I am looking at getting a collective together to purchase, to start with bait ingredients at far cheaper prices than we all buy individually. Before anyone shouts at me, i'm not planning on making any profit, just getting my ingredients cheaper as well. It would need about 25-30 people as most ingredients come in 25k sacks. Please mail me if you are intereseted. Craig

  6. Hi all, I think with tackle you get what you pay for, to an extent... Bait on the other hand, i had a bait thing going with a very well known company when i was on Farlows in the early 90's and the diffrence of shop price against what i got was less than half the price and the shop bait was not as good, far less seed/atractors in my opinion. I have messed with bait since i started fishing and still do, i would advise anyone to really look at what they are spending and what they are spending it on, talk to someone like carp unlimited and see how much it costs to make something like BFM for example. Bait companies tell you more people are coming back to frozen/ready mades, i think they say that because more people are making there own for a fraction of the cost and they don't like it. Craig
  7. Hi, I know this is a little late but the pads just to the left of the old pontoon to scotts island always used to be good this time of year, try right between the two small islands, hit n hold and they ususlly swim straight out. Also the back of the factory bank pad, casting from the pylon swim, nice clean area roughly 70 yards out in line with the royalbox swim on the smelly bank. Craig
  8. Hi there, I have not fished Chard but i had a walk around a couple of weeks ago and had a chat with a couple of guys there. The stock is reasonable with fish to 27lb. Most of the lake is off limits with around 50 defined pegs available most of the year but aound half of them are out of bounds march through to june if i remember for some bird nesting. There is a sexy looking bay along the one whole bank that you can fish but all the other swims look unappealing to me and a quick plumb around showed no features with depths comming up from 16 feet-two feet in the margins. The swims that are out of bounds mar-june looked good but plumbing showed no features except massive underwater snags that cost me three marker floats in twenty minutes! The lake gets very busy for most of the summer, i was told some swims are almost on a rota basis. Heavy baiting seems to be the going method with one guy teling me he is putting in 5-10 kilo's a session then topping up after every fish. I was realy excited when i first looked at the lake but 55 acres with all these challanges for an upper twenty..i just can dedicate that much time and effort. Sorry if that is not what you want to hear m8, are you local to chard/axminster/lyme ? i know a couple of other lakes you might be interested in. Craig
