  1. OK, we never made it past Whitstable because the company was more interested in beer and seafood (wonder why!!!). However bumped into an old mate who said spinning off 'the Street', the bar that sticks out at low tide on the Tankerton side and in front of the hotel, as the tide was coming in is currently very good for bass at the moment. Thought I'd share that with you.
  2. That's good advice, thanks Reculver here we come.... Lorry
  3. I will be fishing around the Whitstable/Tankerton area next week, so I've been told!!!, anyway does anyone know any decent spots along that stretch and what should we be looking for apart from three feet deep of sludge? We're aiming for either side of high tide on Thurs lunchtime. Many thanks and tight lines. Lorry
  4. Cheers Vagabond and Spasor, that's great info and I'll be taking that up within a month if the 'crew' can get their sodding diaries sorted out. Mole
  5. OK thanks Matt, I'll probably go down there and check it out. It's the nearest place to me anyway. Mole
  6. Can anyone recommend a boat with skipper and equipment to hire in Folkestone or Newhaven. This would be for about five adults of moderate experience, yet rusty. Also, how much is the rough cost of hiring a boat for the day and what are the 'rules' about such a hire such as - does the skip take any of the catch and do you tip him/her at the end of the day? I'm new to this forum so I'd like to say a big hello. I've already had a good look through and it's a great read. I'd appreciate your help with this. Thanks Mole
