A typical example of a thread morphing into a load of rubbish, and the important implications ( as originally posted by Elton) going under in the general discussion.

Free speech is only free if you use it responsibly. It can otherwise cost a great deal of money. If you are unfortunate, yours!

Controversial discussions are OK, as long as they do not become libellous, or confrontational.

The main reason I no longer post to these forums regularly, is the childish and irresponsible attitude of quite a few posters, ( also the e-mail abuse to which I was subjected), and the stubborn refusal to accept responsibility for what they post.

Once again, you may not be talking about "ban or not ban", but others immediately will do so.

If it is legal, and you want to do it, then do it. If you don´t want to do it, then don´t.

Fra too many people attempt to control others already. This is a serious mistake, especially as far as angling is concerned.

Precedents are created, which will inevitably lead to bans, prohibition and restrictions. Eventually, being "against" something, will lead to your own downfall, as somebody will inevitably be "against" something you do. It is no good complaining then.

These discussions tend to get very emotional. What one ought to remember, is that discussing the rights or wrongs of using such things, or even banning them, is already impinging on other people´s freedom.

It is more productive to discuss how one may use a keepnet properly, etc.

Some very interesting stuff if you are into soaps, what about the pharma industry and what they are allowed to put down the drain.

    :D:D

A lot more money than anybody else.

Well,as this thread is posted on the COURSE FISING forum,i assumed that people would know what i meant.

    Sorry for the confusion

Presumably you mean coarse fishing. There are numerous places where closed season rulings differ considerably from the "norm".

If people are fishing illegally, then it is probably best to inform the police. Before you do though, you should be certain that the people really are fishing illegally. Policemen do not appreciate being sent on wild goose chases.

    It was out of season,Mike

Out of season for what? For the water they were at, or for specific fish?

The local water authority, ( if there still are such things in England), would probably be the place to ring.

A strange thing has happened on my puter, all of a sudden certain colours have changed ,e.g some icons on my desktop have changed from red to brown, also my lads football game usually has a red solid banner on introductory now its half yellow and half pink, scary or whatand finally the usual blue aol icon is now purple ,does anyone know whats happening

    fasser....

This may be a corrupt graphic driver. Try re-installing the driver for your graphic card. There are some printer drivers, among others, which can corrupt the graphic driver.

If this does not work, it may also be that the monitor is failing. The amplifier in the final stage has "lost" a transistor. This results in missing colours.

Is the Barbel society website the worst site you've ever visited.

Is that an opinion, or a question?

Looks like a very good site to me. A great deal of effort and thought seems to have gone into it.
