for goodness sake guys all i said was a coment about john wilson and his fishing handling there is no need to start bagging each other off and being funny at each others remarks this maybe so that he has done alot for tv and angling but he does rough handle them somtimes i do admire him and do like to watch him but i think he needs to take a little bit of time to slow down and take care of the fish that he catches

he always remarks on what lb line he is using and have you ever noticed how he never fishes on a lake or pond ect with anyone else fishing it or very rarley i think there is plenty of people out there who have caught the amount of fish he has and the quality in all conditions and venues he is in the public eye to teach and learn and i think he is setting a very bad example and somtimes when he is playing a fish he keeps it going when it is ready to be netted just for the sheer hell of it to make it look better 1 day i hope he gets dragged in!!! :mad:

i totaly agree with rob well said john wilsons laugh is the most anoying i know and yes he might have been around a long time but then he should be more experienced than most!! and yes i have seen myself on video and i dont rip hooks out of fishes mouths like im a butcher :mad: he treats the fish like crap

Have any of you ever thought about how bad john wilson handles his fish i was watching go fishing the other night and he caught a really nice double mirror carp and then proceded to show it to the camera with the hook still in its mouth and the line pulling tight ( ouch to the poor fish) and then when he finally got round to unhooking the poor thing instead of just taking it out he ragged it out thats how not to handle a fish!!!! and to top it off his anoying laugh :mad: i have noticed him treating a lot of fish badly and i know 1 thing when me and matt get our lake sorted he is not coming on it

Now that we are getting to winter i have noticed how lovely all the fishing waters are looking i cant belive it!! they just look stunning and the fish are piling on the weight what a sight!!! oh yeah by the way just about to scan pics on of matt and his double catch bet you are all eager to see

what does everyone think about screaming reels being put back on home and leisure as i have been made aware that it finished ages ago and it looks preaty old so what is the opinion of it being brought back out i mean and old tv series or would it be better to leave the old ones and bring in some new ones personaly i think its good but they need to have a lot more fishing programs on as i dont think they are on enough and i was really into that fishing program on the other weekend on two blokes in competition with each other in 15 days in all whether conditions to see who could catch the most fish we need more :cool: shevonne

hey tulip bead lol i think you have hit the nail on the head at least someone understands thats what it is they are worried that im catching bigger and better than them suddenly i feel so much better about the situation!!!!! ta for all the advice fromm ALL of you lol

look chester i did not write a post for you to bag me off i dont care what you do when you catch a fish but i dont shout or nothing im quite normal it is bloody obvious when you have caught a fish mayb not for you if all you catch is the size of a minow but a decent size fish usually draws attention all i wanted was some helpfull advice not smart sarcastic comments i thought you people were here to help not make me feel like sh** shevonne :mad:

well guys he is off again 2 morrow so i will let you know how he gets on he has developed another bait to try so i wonder how he will do i will keep you updated by the way is there a insert or somthing where i can put the pics on these messages?

chester may i just add that i think that your point you made comes accross as very sexually discriminating as im sure you wouldnt put that to a male but a woman is expected to be a ooooohhhh shout holar scream i have hooked a fish and why is that then??? just because i am a female doesnt mean i squeal and shout belive it or not im the same as all the rest of you i admit i do excited but not in that way but then who doesnt? i think that it is only fair to say that if you cant make a point without being discriminent dont make one atal as it is not nessacary! :confused:

hmmm chester plz can i point out to you that somtimes you cant help being spotted by other anglers when hooking into a fish here are the reasons!! :your alarm sreaming off!!! ( might b slightly difficult to hide that) :the fish splashing in the water :your rod tip bending :you standing there pulling back on your rod playing the fish : someone sitting next to you in the next swim and many more so how do i avoid that then? and somehow i dont think i stand there jumping and screaming i just get on with it!! that might be what you do when hooking a fish but that is certainly not my way :mad:

i really love carp fishing but am not as experienced as my hubby ive not been doing it for as long and i find that when im fishing and i hook a fish and start playing it i get really embarrised and frustrated when other anglers come over to watch i tend to make mistakes and i dont like it i think its probably because i know im being watched and im not very confident but i just wish that they would give me space i dont say anything to them as i know i will only swear at them but its not like im on my own i always go with my hubby so its not the case there coming to see if i need help has anyone got any ideas to help me over come this???

well from what i have seen and heard about this it seems to be that in the summer they are alot more difficult to catch for the simple reason they have a lot of natrual food sources but come the winter there is far less and they are all competing to get them so i have found and my husband when fishing in winter a simple bait like trigger or anything really and you will more than likely catch 1 and dont forget they are stocking up aswell i wouldnt be inclined to put any thing to over the top as this may seem like danger to them just think of what they like normaly and go 4 it

as soon as he has them developed i will post a few on here for you all anyway has anyone got any ideas on what mag to send them into i want it to b a suprise for him otherwise i would just ask him plz help which one do you all recomend

im so proud of my husband the other day he went to his local pond where it is known as being a hard fishing lake and caught a few good fish and then it went dead so he moved from where he was to another spot and recast his rods he was sitting there watching the water and the activity as you do when his rod went so he hit into it and started playing it when his other alarm went off at first he thought it was himself knocking it where he was playing the fish but then relized he had actually hooked into another!!! might i add that he was on his own with no one else on the lake so he put the other rod in between his legs and started playing them both swaping from rod to rod, he pulled the first fish in and netted it and then continued to play the second one and netted that one to, weighed them both and had to ballance his camera on his ruksack to take a pic of them both together at the same time with him holding them the first a leather carp weighed in at 22lb 13oz and the second a mirror weighed in at 23lb 2oz when he came home he said to me im just glad the first one was well behaved when i put it in the net to get the second he had a grin on him as big as a cheshire cat < hardly supprising in the circumstances > all in all he caught 4 fish that day but im sure you would agree by far the best catch of the day being the double catch!!! im just wondering whether to enter him into one of the carp mags what do u think? with his pic of course!!!! he deffenatly needs a pat on the back [ 24.
