For a very long time I've been trying to catch a decent mullet in Cyprus. I know they are there, I've seen huge shoals of 2lb.+ fish, but I just can't seem to connect. The biggest obstacle is baitfish in the water. Any remotely soft bait will be shredded in seconds by inch long mullet, gobies and small bream. Feeding them off isn't option either as there are literally millions in the harbours that I fish. As if mullet weren't hard enough, this obstacle seems to make them uncatchable.
Any thoughts?
Mullet and fake bread

In response to a previous post about mullet in tricky circumstances, Dunk Fairley suggested that I try fake bread as bait. Has anyone actually done this? Results?
