perhaps another tip is buy or ask as a prezzie a wind up radio I have a RANGER FREEPLAY one used it for 3 years now brilliant and good company vin the wee small hours.

I belive its still your fish if someone else was to net it for you,if you baited the rod and then cast it out and play the fish then its your fish.

thats shocking canned tuna is a favourite of mine i am going to have to reconsider,does it make any difference as to where its caught?

Why not trot for trout?? I have in North Wales and it's a good method. Even caught on bizzare baits such as orange peel.

well done everyone starts somewhere the main thing is that you enjoyed yourself i'm a little surprised your first wasn't a perch.
