I am organising a coarse fishing trip to Ballyconnell, Co.Cavan,Ireland in Sept this year, stopping at The Anglers Rest Inn. Has anyone been there, and can they give me any info or direct me to any websites. Any help is appreciated, locations to fish, bait, and pubs. Cheers WAJ <'<

Con, I would suggest that you try size 10 fritz lures in black or orange.This would hopefully get you some fish, and once your confidence is up try some of the more traditional flies. If you are fishing small lakes or reservoirs, most have either tickets offices or shops on site to ask whats best. Be guided by their advice and experience. Tight Lines WAJ <'<

I'm trying to arrange a weeks fishing to Ireland for a group of anglers from the North, and I am looking for ideas. In the past few years we have fished the Inniscarra system, stopping at Macroom. Also we have fished in the area of Cavan. Should we stick to one of these areas or can you suggest other areas of Southern Ireland. Cheers WAJ <'<
